After seven years fronting the band Marmalade Skies, Michele Rene is making a name for herself as a solo artist. With having been featured on prime-time television (their song "Remember Me" was played in the Disney movie Bailey's Mistake and "Forgotten" was featured twice on the WB Network's Felicity) Michele's fan base has spread to an international level.
As Marmalade Skies' live shows became less frequent, Michele began to moonlight with other projects. She started a new band called Tinseltown with David Koval (Breakfast with Amy). She also sang back-up vocals on Niles Thomas' CD - Bad Cafe and Grammy nominated Ted Jacobs' CD - Days Gone By.
The duo perform in their hometown of Long Beach, CA and are planning to return to the studio in the near future.

"The songs all work, thanks to the distinctive voice of Michele Rene, as well as the songs penned by her and mandolin-guitar player Robert Bancalari." - Robert Kinsler, Orange County Register
"Singer Michele Rene has the necessary aching/poignant quality to her beautiful voice, and on a song like Remember Me, she can still make your heart break like that girlfriend you always hated to see cry." - Tim Grierson, Zeal Magazine |
